Executive Director
Julie Lytle

Julie has worked in education and community leadership for over 30 years, in roles spanning classroom teaching, academic leadership, and nonprofit direction. She holds a PhD in Education and Theology from Boston College, graduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelor’s in Journalism/Advertising from UNC Chapel Hill.

Julie has been involved with Amazing Grace since its founding. After volunteering to help launch Amazing Grace in 2013, Julie was the first paid Program Coordinator and now is Executive Director. She believes relationships have the power to heal, and that community — particularly in the outdoors — is where people are freed to become who they’re meant to be.  She also concurrently serves as Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Bexley Seabury.  She lives on Cape Cod with her spouse and their Boston Terrier, Teddie. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring antique shops.
